Downloading & Installation of EXE or Zipped Files

Downloading

Click on the link of the file you wish to download. This will begin the download procedure.

Your browser will ask if you want to save the file to disk and identify the location where you would like to put the file. Choose the option to save the file to disk and put the file in an empty primary directory on your C drive such as C:\T.

If you wish to install the program on a computer not connected to the Internet, please see the FAQ page for instructions.

The file will download. This may take a few minutes depending on the speed of your connection.

.exe and .zip files

To make installation even easier, we have converted the installation files from .zip files to self extracting .exe files. If the file you have downloaded ends with .exe, please see the Installation of Self Extracting .exe section. If it ends with .zip, please see the Installation of .zip File section.

Installation of Self Extracting .exe File

A self extracting file is a file that contains all the installation files necessary to install the program. The files have been all zipped up and compressed for faster transfer. The best part is that you don't need an unzip utility to install them.

After download completes, start Windows Explorer from the Windows Start Menu.

Navigate to the directory where you downloaded the file and double click on it. The setup routine will run automatically.

After Setup is complete, you should be able to click on your Windows Start Menu, and the program you have installed will be listed as one of the options under the N3FJP Software menu. Select the program to run it.

Installation of .zip Files

.zip files are usually made up of a group of files that have been all "zipped up" in one package and compressed for faster transfer. They are identified by the .zip file name extension.

Once you have the downloaded file in an empty directory, it is time to unzip the file. Some Internet browsers will automatically unzip files as soon as the download is complete. If your file did not unzip automatically, you will have to use an unzip utility to unzip the file. There are many unzip utilities available. Some are Windows based and some are DOS based. If you have an unzip utility, go ahead and unzip the file, then go to Step 5. If you need an unzip utility, go to Step 2.

Please click here to download Freezip, a freeware unzip utility.

After freezip.exe downloads, navigate to it using Windows Explorer and double click to install it.

Unzip the zipped file you have downloaded by navigating to the file using Windows Explorer, right click on the file and click Unzip.

Now the file should be unzipped. From your Windows Start menu, select Windows Explorer, navigate to the temporary directory you created, and double click on the Setup.exe file. Setup will complete the installation process.

After Setup is complete, you should be able to click on your Windows Start Menu, and the program you have installed will be listed as one of the options under the N3FJP Software menu. Select the program to run it.
