EU-DX Contest Log 1.0, Amateur Contact Log 7.0.5, WX Warn & More Now Available!

Home News

Hi All,

Chris, Kimberly and I have several announcements to share!

EU-DX Contest Log 1.0 is Now Available!

We just completed another brand new addition to the N3FJP Software suite! EU-DX Contest Log 1.0 has all the features that you've come to expect in N3FJP Software. You will find our EU-DX Contest Log here.

As always, upgrades and additional programs that we add to our N3FJP Software package are free to registered package subscribers. You can request your updated password list that includes this new program here.

Amateur Contact Log 7.0.5 is Now Available!

For Amateur Contact Log, this is primarily a maintenance release to correct map pin locations for users in countries that use a comma instead of a decimal point, but there are a few other new goodies as well, including:

- Added ability to send CW via rig interface with ASCII to hex character conversion using {} to encase converted text (for rigs that support this feature, such as the Icom 7610).

On the CW setup form, using the RI: method with rigs like the Icom 7610, you can transmit characters and wild card contents by encasing the string to send (which must be converted from ASCII to HEX for some rigs) in curly brackets {TEXT TO SEND} like this: RI:FEFE00E017{<CALL> <SERIAL> MDC}FD

- ADDADIFRECORD command for API (at the request of other developers, to enable additional interface functionality).

- Added Clear on QSY (Tune Away). With a call in the call field, if you tune more than 400 Hz CW or 1 kHz SSB in either direction, the fields will clear. You must click Setting > Rig Interface and select Clear on QSY to enable.

- On the Awards form, you can find the date range for records by clicking on the blue From Rec and To Rec labels.

You will find Amateur Contact Log here.

As always, upgrades are free to registered users. If you are currently running a version of our software released after January 2021, AC Log should detect the new upgrade and offer to retrieve it for you on start. If you have any problem with the automatic upgrade, or you are running an older version, you can follow these AC Log upgrade steps here.

Addition of Super Check Partial and Other Enhancements to Contest Software in Process!

Last time I let you know that Chris and I have completed coding for the new Super Check Partial ADIF upload method as requested by the SCP developer and we are now in the process of updating the rest of our contest software accordingly. Lord willing, we plan to keep ahead of the major upcoming contests and have all the programs updated before the fall / winter contest season. We have just released CQ WPX 4.9.3 and Field Day 6.6.3 with the new SCP upload feature, as well as the other applicable new enhancements, detailed above, in the AC Log enhancement list. If you wish to submit your contest log to the SCP database, after exporting your log in ADIF, just click Settings > Super Check Partial to proceed.

If you aren't familiar with the Super Check Partial lookup feature that has existed in our contest software for years, it is well worth using! Whether you are running a frequency or searching and pouncing, it is a great tool that adds additional confidence to the accuracy of the call sign you are logging. Just click Settings > Super Check Partial and follow the directions on the form that appears. Lots more details on SCP are here.

As always, upgrades are free to registered users. Upgrade steps are detailed in the AC Log section above.

WX Warn Now Included In Our Software Package!

And an extra bonus! While WX Warn has always been free, it does require a registration to remove the ad space. Our WX Warn software may be a bit long in the tooth and you will need to update some of the user customizable image default URLs, but the basic program still works fine and it is now included free for all package users! You can request an updated password list that includes the WX Warn software anytime here.

And you will find the WX Warn software here.

Enjoy!

And in response to the questions we always receive when we neglect to include the following in our e-mail announcements...

Package Upgrade Information...

If you have registered one or more individual programs and would like to upgrade to N3FJP's Software Package or N3FJP's Software Package and CD for full use of all our Amateur Radio software, we would be glad to apply the amount that you have registered so far as a credit towards that purchase. Please send us an e-mail directly and we'll let you know your balance.

N3FJP's Software Package includes more than one hundred programs for contesting, net management and general logging Amateur Radio applications, as well as our WX Warn weather software! In addition to full use of all these programs, registered package customers are also entitled to receive free passwords for any new software that is added to the package and free upgrades to existing programs. You'll find all the details on the Register Now page at www.n3fjp.com.

Donations are Gratefully Accepted!

And in response to the often asked question for which Kimberly, Chris and I are very grateful...

"I know your upgrades are free, but I also realize how much time and effort coding these enhancements and new programs take and that your pricing policy doesn't fully reflect that. Can I send you something to show my appreciation for your continued efforts?"

Yes, thanks so much, your continued support in any amount is very welcome and deeply appreciated! You can use this page:
