From
1997 until 2006, our software updates were frequent enough that
any changes to the country lists were compiled automatically
into the latest revision. Now that our software package
has matured and revisions are less frequent, we are providing updates
that we make to the country files here. The file arrlpre2.txt
contains the entire prefix lookup listing (for all programs
except the CQ
WW contest log) and ADIFCnt.txt file is the ADIF country number to country
name conversion table for all the programs.

What's
the difference between the CQ WW country file and the file used
for the rest of the programs?
For
close to six years we were blessed with the efforts of Miles,
WK5K, who developed and maintained the country files for us.
Miles was extremely thorough, detail oriented and did
such a great job that we were able to let him concentrate on the
country list while I focused on the code. When Miles said
that we needed a separate list for CQ WW (but not the rest of
the CQ contests), we
said okay and worked with the list that he developed for that
contest. Whatever reasons he outlined for the separate
list have long since been forgotten.
Miles
is no longer able to keep up with the country list maintenance,
so Kimberly and I are doing our best to maintain the great lists
that he developed. Admittedly, this isn't our strong suit
and unfortunately a lot of the thinking behind the list creation
has been lost. Anyone who has an interest in this area
and would like to lend a hand would be very much appreciated!
